What is a Psonnet?

I wrote what I called sonnets and sent them to my old English teacher, who astutely said that sonnets have a form.

I then coined what I am calling Psonnets, which are somewhere between a Psalm and a Sonnet. Bold and spiritual like a Psalm, but loving and calm like a Sonnet.

I use these poems mainly to motivate myself and explore my inner life (thoughts, feelings, longing, love, obstacles, and application of spiritual knowledge), to sort through the maze and find right motivation and action.

I've been writing them for months now for myself, but at the urging of my Mom I decided to publish them for others to see. Maybe they will have been through what I'm going through, and it will on them shed some light. Or maybe it will inspire people to use them for themselves, and live a bit better, fire alight.

Note: These don't have to be good. That's not their purpose. I write them to sort through my web of feelings, not to impress anyone. Some have been very simple and without rhyming, others have been nice. And occasionally, one which is a really nice poem will emerge. I'm sharing all of them here, to encourage people to use them as a tool to get in touch with their knowing inner selves, and be their own guides.
